FEATURE FILM SUBMISSION FORM

The London Turkish Film Festival includes two competitive awards sections. The 'Golden Wings Digiturk Digital Distribution Award' is awarded by a jury of industry professionals and offers a distribution contract towards the costs of releasing the film in the UK & Ireland by the LTFF. The 'Golden Wings People's Choice Award', is based on the votes by the cinema audiences and will be announced a week after the Festival. Films can take part in both competitions.

Films being submitted for the "Digital Distribution Award" should not have any presence in prior or subsequent UK Festivals and events unless specifically agreed with The London Turkish Film Festival.

Films being submitted for all other screenings should not have had any presence in prior UK Festivals and events unless specifically agreed with The London Turkish Film Festival.

The screening at The London Turkish Film Festival will be a:

Film regulations

  • Films must have been completed after January 1, 2010.
  • Films must be available for screening during the London Turkish Film Festival 2011.
  • Films being submitted should not have had any presence in prior UK Festivals and events unless specifically agreed with The London Turkish Film Festival.
  • Films that have screened on network or cable television or distributed to theatres in UK prior to the festival dates are also ineligible for competition.
  • Films must be feature length (60 minutes or more).
  • All films must be subtitled in English.
  • All copyrighted material included in the film must be cleared. LTFF will not be held responsible for any inclusion of uncleared materials. It is the sole responsibility of the entity submitting the project to secure permission from the copyright holder of the material in question, whether it is music, stock footage, or any other elements that could violate an existing copyright.

Additional Digital Distribution Award Regulations:

  • Entries for the 'Golden Wings Digiturk Digital Distribution Award' must have all UK and Irish distribution rights available.
  • Films applying to enter the 'Golden Wings Digiturk Digital Distribution Award' should not have had any presence in prior or subsequent UK Festivals unless specifically agreed with the London Turkish Film Festival.
  • All UK distribution of the winning film will be undertaken by Drakes Avenue Pictures on behalf of Turkish Films International.
  • The 'Golden Wings Digiturk Digital Distribution Award' is granted on the basis of the standard LTFF contract terms, a copy of which is available on request.
  • Distribution of the 'Golden Wings Digiturk Digital Distribution Award' winner is awarded solely to Drakes Avenue Pictures/Turkish Films International.
  • All UK rights to the winning film will be acquired by Drakes Avenue Pictures/Turkish Films International.
  • Films competing for the 'Golden Wings Digiturk Digital Distribution Award' must be Turkish productions or Turkish co-productions.

RELEASE

  • I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree as follows:

  • I hold The London Turkish Film Festival harmless from damage to or loss of any submitted materials en route to the festival.
  • I am duly authorized to submit this film to the Festival.
  • I ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY for the accuracy of the information supplied
  • I authorize the Festival to reproduce credits and company contact information in its publications exactly as supplied.
  • If selected, I give my authorisation for publicity images, a synopsis and any other relevant information to be included on festival publicity material and the festival website (including clips of my film).
  • I hereby voluntarily assume any and all risks, known or unknown, associated with my participation in the Festival and with my receipt and use of any Prize associated therewith. I and my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns hereby voluntarily forever release, discharge, waive and relinquish any and all actions, claims or causes of action against the LTFF arising from or resulting in any manner from my participation in the Festival and/or my acceptance and/or use or misuse of the any Festival Prize.

SUBMISSION MATERIALS

  • Completed submission form, submitted electronically by email as well as a printed hard copy
  • Preview DVDs ( PAL ) with English subtitled (6 copies) For all submissions, include the English language title and the running time on the DVD itself.
  • One press kit, which must be submitted electronically on CD or DVD

SHIPPING

All costs for the shipping of submission materials to the festival are the responsibility of the sender. The Festival cannot be held responsible for any damage to submitted materials incurred in shipping. The Festival is not responsible for any customs clearance or duty charges resulting from the import of materials.

35mm Prints:
If the 35mm print of the film is shipped from and to Turkey the festival covers the shipping costs both ways. The Festival cannot be held responsible for any specific customs or duty charges that may be incurred.

If the 35mm print of the film is shipped from or to a country other than Turkey the festival covers the shipping costs one way only. The Festival cannot be held responsible for any specific customs or duty charges that may be incurred.

RETURN OF ENTRIES

The Festival is not responsible for the return costs of submitted materials. The Festival cannot be held responsible for any damage to submitted materials during transport. Preview DVDs will not be returned. Submitted press materials will not be returned.

MULTIPLE ENTRIES

You may submit more than one film, but each one must be on a separate DVD and must be accompanied by its own completed submission form.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS :

(If your film is selected for the London Turkish Film Festival we will require:)

  • 35mm or Digital Copy
  • Press kits with hi-res photo stills (colour and black & white)
  • Headshots of Director(s)
  • Biographies of Director(s)
  • Film trailers, clip reels, (5)posters, postcards, and Electronic press kit (EPKs), if available.
  • If entering the Digital ‘Distribution Award’, an HDCam SR must be available.
